Jammin’ Flava, a Jamaican food truck turned brick-and-mortar restaurant in Odenton, recently closed its doors.
An undated sign posted on its door, in between a Pizza Hut and Rita’s Italian Ice, says that after 11 years, and effective immediately, the store will close.
“Thank you so much for all your love, support, and for being the best part of our story,” the sign reads. “Continue to support your local small business.”
The restaurant’s Instagram page does not mention the closure.
It is unclear if only the brick-and-mortar location is shuttered or if the food truck is closed as well. The permanent location seems to have been in operation for about a year, and the sign on the door says 11 years, implying the business as a whole has shut down.
The restaurant’s website, jamminflava.com, seems to have been wiped. It only shows a large “coming soon” banner, and other Google links to subpages like “About Us” return a 404 error. Its DoorDash page still exists but is inactive, listing Jamaican cuisine like jerk chicken and beef patties.
The closure is unlikely to be due to Anne Arundel County Health Department violations, as an inspection report dated last March shows the restaurant fully in compliance.
Sheena Allen, who is listed as the owner of the restaurant on LinkedIn, did not respond to a request for comment.
