Ongoing: ‘Variations on Night’

See 12 local playwrights unveil their work for the first time at the 21st annual, 10-minute play festival “Variations on Night” at the Strand Theater, 5426 Harford Road. The Rapid Lemon Productions event features plays by Felicia Barr, Janis Beltran, Tad Cleaves, Dwight R.B. Cook, Iman Michele Dancy, Isaiah C. Evans, Clarinda Harriss, Allegra Hatem, Jalice Ortiz-Corral, Meri Robie, Jonathan Tycko, and Kristen Wheeler. Take to the streets for Baltimore’s own Carnival. The Baltimore Washington One Carnival 2025 marks this event’s 44th year, which is organized by the Caribbean American Carnival Association of Baltimore in conjunction with the DC Caribbean Carnival Committee.
Runaway Jouvert is the official kick-off on Friday. 3-10 p.m. 900 Druid Hill Park at East Drive and Red Road.
