Dijon, a singer-songwriter and producer with Maryland roots, will perform on Saturday Night Live’s Dec. 6 show, Warner Records announced.
Actress Melissa McCarthy will host, while Dijon joins as the musical guest.
Born in Germany, Dijon Duenas moved around to different places growing up as the child of military parents. He spent time in Ellicott City, where he attended Centennial High. He went on to study literature at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The artist released his debut album “Absolutely” in 2021 after releasing several other singles and EPs. He’s also produced music for a variety of artists and been featured on Justin Bieber’s latest albums “SWAG” and “SWAG II,” as well as Bon Iver’s “SABLE, fABLE.” His latest album, “Baby,” dropped in August.
As his career takes off, Dijon was nominated for a Producer of the Year – Non-Classical Grammy for his work on “Baby” and Bieber’s songs “DAISIES,” “DEVOTION,” “THINGS YOU DO,” and “YUKON.” He’s also part of the Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for Bieber’s “SWAG.”
